中城區：曼哈頓的心臟，挑戰高度的紐約神話

 

最代表紐約印象的中城區，有眾所皆知的第五大道、帝國大廈、中央車站、聯合國、還有觀光客的天堂－時代廣場。一幢幢古典兼具藝術的大樓，是摩天大樓的代名詞，也是紐約最美的天際線。

 

離開下曼哈頓，往上走，另一個景點聚集處就是中城區，也算是紐約觀光收入的大宗之一。以前這區是富豪的住所，現在變成名牌精品服飾旗艦店。

 

當全世界第一棟最高的大樓在此升起時，世人注目的焦點就不曾從這裡移開過，他的一舉一動也總是牽動著全球。

 

第五大道可以說是中城區的代表。你可以在這裡買到你想要的奢華生活、絕對是紐約的購物聖地之一，同時也是區分東西區的重要依據。

 

往東有中央車站、聯合國兩大景點，而 Park Ave. and Lexington Ave. 是高級公寓的代表，有不少保有舊時代風華的高級飯店。

 

往西則有時代廣場、洛克斐勒中心等，沿著第六、第七大道兩側，主要是企業的辦公大樓，及現代化的五星級飯店。

 

中城區是屬於高消費的區域，餐廳、飯店的價位普遍都較高一些，並不太適合像我這樣的背包客，但優點就是交通便利，位在中心地帶，往上往下移動都很方便。例如我從編號14移動到編號15就是搭乘地鐵。

 

編號八我數錯了，應該是編號七，所以之後依此類推。
