Love Hurts

Episode 120 : 2005-05-10

Harvey Park, a 21-year old Asian, patiently waits to be seen by a doctor. In a clinic room, House and Wilson discuss the return of Cameron. Wilson can't figure out why she would come back until he realizes that Cameron likes House. House reluctantly admits that he agreed to take Cameron on a date. Frustrated by Wilson's teasing, House leaves and bumps into Harvey Park, who's carrying around a glass of apple juice. House mistakes the juice for a urine sample and yells at Harvey, who cowers back to the waiting room. Wilson tells House he'd better apologize because he can't afford another patient complaint. House tracks down Harvey, who struggles to speak. House shines a penlight in his eye and rushes Harvey into the ER because he's having a stroke.

Cameron returns to the hospital, much to the surprise of Foreman and Chase. House enters with Wilson and announces Harvey's stroke, displaying the CT scan. Foreman notices ischemia, which is the death of brain tissue. Yet nothing tells them the underlying cause, so they need an MRI. However, Harvey has a metal plate in his jaw from a reconstruction. An MRI would rip it right out.

House notes that the team must be clever to figure this one out. He orders EMG tests to rule out hyperexplexia, an angiogram for vasculitis, a tox screen for drugs and an echocardiogram for the heart. Out in the hallway, Cameron coyly tells her co-workers about her upcoming date with House. They're surprised and think it's an amusingly bad idea.

Foreman visits Harvey and finds a woman named Annette by his side. Foreman asks Harvey about his history, but Annette answers all of the questions. Foreman demands that Harvey respond for himself, but Harvey struggles to remember words. Foreman eventually learns that Harvey had been grinding his jaw and went to an acupuncturist. That led to him visiting a shen balancer, a homeopathic doctor, a chiropractor and a naturopath, who sent Harvey back to the acupuncturist.

Cameron begins the EMG test with Harvey. She inserts needles into various muscles to measure his body's electrical current. The staff discusses the results when the EMG proves normal. The echo report shows a mitral valve prolapse, so Foreman wonders if perhaps a clot formed and went to the brain. House is more disturbed by Harvey's faith in natural medicine. Chase wonders if it's an aneurysm due to trauma. Using a Magic 8 ball, House decides to go with Foreman's theory. He orders blood thinners and antibiotics.

The doctors head to Harvey's room, only to find Annette choking Harvey with her hands. Foreman pulls her off, but Harvey insists that she wasn't hurting him. Chase quickly says that Annette is a dominatrix. How does Harvey even know Annette? Cuddy gathers Annette, House and a hospital lawyer in her office. Annette explains that Harvey is an asphyxiaphyliac. He gets off on being strangled or smothered.

Chase recounts how he met Annette through a former girlfriend who was into pain. House is angry that Chase didn't mention Harvey's predilection earlier. They could have gone with Chase's trauma-induced aneurysm theory. House still wants the blood thinners and antibiotics, just in case Foreman proved correct. If Harvey has another stroke, then they will schedule vascular surgery.

Cuddy catches up with House and tells him that his date with Cameron is a good idea. What happened in his last relationship is no reason to give up on people. Elsewhere, Chase is examining Harvey when he notices weakness in the man's arm and hand. He's having mini-strokes and the blood thinners aren't making a difference. House schedules vascular surgery for the following day. Chase explains to Harvey that the surgery will repair the damaged blood vessels in his neck, which they believe is from the strangulations. Harvey begins to cry, feeling that he's a loser who needs Annette. Chase tries to badger Harvey into it, which backfires. He doesn't want surgery. House tells Chase to sneak Annette into the hospital.

Annette tries to order Harvey to have the surgery, but he screams at her to get out of his room. Foreman thinks the emotional swings indicate another stroke. The doctors struggle to restrain Harvey. The lawyer rules out forced surgery. House argues that with Harvey in a coma, things have changed. The next-of-kin is deceased and cannot give permission.

House tells his team to look for Harvey's parents. Although they are accountants, he lives in a bad neighborhood. It's more likely that they cut him off after learning about his peccadilloes. Cameron and Chase poke around Harvey's apartment. They find a high school yearbook. Meanwhile, Foreman, Chase and Cameron begin dialing every Park in the phone book. The real parents hang up on Chase. House redials and tells Mr. Park that Harvey is dead and they need him to identify the body.

Mr. and Mrs. Park meet with Cuddy, House and the lawyer. House offers a surgery consent form. Mrs. Park calls their own lawyer while Mr. Park explains that their son humiliated the family. House wonders what would be more embarrassing to them -- people knowing their son is a pervert, or people knowing they let their son die by denying him surgery. Mrs. Park signs the form.

Wilson intercepts Cameron for a chat. He says that it's been a long time since House opened up to anybody. If she hurts him, then he will probably close himself off permanently. That night, the date is on. Cameron asks House to spare her the small talk and say how he feels about her and their relationship. House explains that she lives under the delusion that she can fix anything that isn't perfect. She needs instead of loves. And now that her husband has died of cancer, she wants to take him on as a new charity case.

The next morning, Harvey's surgery gets underway. Yet Wilson, Chase and Foreman are more interested in details of the date. Neither House nor Cameron gives up details. The surgeon announces that no aneurysm was found in Harvey. The doctors retreat back to House's office. They have no idea what's causing the strokes. House asks for another angiogram and echo, as well as a full body scan. Then House has an idea.

Chase reported that Harvey had boxes of breath mints in his apartment, but they all know that Harvey has repugnant breath that smells of old vomit. This is the leading sign of fulminating osteomylitis, which is an infection in the jaw from the break never healing properly. The infected tissue in the jaw broke off and blocked blood flow to the brain. The metal plate in Harvey's jaw hid the infection from the scans, and a jaw infection isn't likely to show up in blood scans either. House inserts a needle into Harvey's jaw and extracts pus. This means there is definitely an infection, and they will have to remove the jaw.

Afterwards, House explains to Harvey and Annette that their days of strangulation are over. Harvey weakly asks if his parents came to see him. In his office that night, House looks through old photos that were buried deep in his wallet. He misses somebody.

一隻狗熊和一隻兔子在森林裏大便，狗熊轉過來問兔子“不好意思，請你的大便會粘到你的皮毛上麼？”，兔子說“不會，我從沒過這種問題。”，於是狗熊就拿起兔子來擦了擦自己的屁股...

2.RAINES: She diagnosed Liver Qi stagnation and sent Harvey to a Shen balancer.
Raines: 她確診是肝氣失調並把Harvey交給了一個安神導師。
8分27秒，Harvey的朋友Raines告訴Foreman，Harvey曾經看過一個針灸師，她診斷Harvey得的是肝氣失調。作為中國人，這裏的所謂背景知識對我們來說應該是不成問題的。Qi，就是我們說的“氣”了，Shen，就是我們說的“神”了。

盧.卡斯楚（Lou Costello），美國著名的喜劇演員。喜劇組合Abbott and Costello中的一人（另一人是Bud Abbott），他的標誌之一就是一條又短又寬的領帶。

8.CAMERON: According to Freud, and I’m paraphrasing, instinct of love toward an object demands a mastery to obtain it, and if a person feels they can’t control the object or feel threatened by it, they act negatively toward it.

At the USA Swimming and Diving National Championships, twelve year-old Mary Carroll prepares to dive from 10 meters. On top of the platform, Mary's vision becomes blurry. She nervously approaches the edge, talks herself into the dive and leaps. When she surfaces, Mary finds the crowd swarming a man who collapsed next to the pool and is bleeding from his ear.

House goes to Cameron's place to tell her that Vogler is gone and he wants her back at work. House gets a page about an epidemic, but Cameron asks why he wants her back. He replies that it's because she's a good doctor. Since that's not what she wanted to hear, she slams the door on him.

House arrives at the hospital to find hundreds of people in the lobby. Cuddy reports that the man who collapsed at the meet has bacterial meningitis. Five thousand people were exposed who are all being sent to hospitals throughout the region. She needs House to pitch in. House, Wilson, Chase, Foreman and the rest of the staff begin examining patients and either discharging them or sending them to the second floor for treatment.

Mary comes through House's line. She has fever, a rash and neck pain, which are three of the symptoms. He also notices that she moves her head oddly, and she comments that it only hurts moving side to side, not up and down. Meningitis typically causes pus in the spinal canal that makes up and down movements painful. House quickly gathers his staff to discuss. Mary's rash has been present for a week. If it were meningitis, she'd already be dead. House orders a lumbar puncture and has Chase research all known causes of neck pain. He also orders rifampin for meningitis, just in case he's wrong.

Foreman can't get a bed and nurse for the lumbar puncture due to the overload. So he performs the procedure in the hallway. Chase searches online for a possible explanation. House makes it clear that this is just busy work for Chase as a form of punishment. Later, Foreman returns to check on Mary, but she's been moved because the staff needed a gurney. He finds her on a couch and tells Mary that she has no meningitis or infections. They're going to keep her overnight, but she shouldn't worry. That's when Foreman notices blood in Mary's mouth.

Still working out in the hallway, Chase and Foreman insert an endoscope into Mary's throat. The camera into her GI tract will show where the blood is coming from. It shows nothing. Next, they give her a pillcam. A tiny camera that she swallows and sends back video from the intestines. Reviewing the images, House notices a Dieulafoy on Mary's intestines. Cuddy interrupts and sends House back to clinic duty to handle the crush. While examining quarantined patients, Chase, Foreman, House and Wilson discuss possible illnesses for Mary. Chase throws out bone cancer, which Wilson agrees would explain the meningeal symptoms. House orders a marrow sample.

Foreman begs again for a sterile environment for Mary's procedure, again with no luck. He brings her down to the morgue to take the sample. After a few hours, he returns to Mary's spot in the hallway to deliver the good news. It's not cancer. Mary smiles, but then the EEG begins going crazy. Mary looks fine, but is unresponsive. She's having an absence seizure. Foreman quickly orders two milligrams of Ativan.

House, Foreman and Chase discuss the absence seizure in the bathroom, desperate to hide from Cuddy's demands to work the clinic. Foreman reports that the seizure frequency is increasing, with five in the last half hour. Whatever she has, it's in her brain. House wants a CT scan to check for intercranial bleeding, but the scanner is backed up with meningitis patients. Chase suggests an old method, transcranial ultrasound. It will at least reveal bleeding.

Meanwhile, House and Wilson interview a second candidate to replace Cameron. After rejecting the first young doctor for having an Asian letter tattoo and caring too much about what people think of him, House rejects the second. She's a young woman who has a fantastic background and a mouth to counter House's barbs. Yet her pointy-heeled shoes mean she also cares too much about what people think of her.

Foreman injects Mary with gadolinium, which will help the blood show on an x-ray. Chase continues poring through research materials and places a lock of hair into a gas chromatograph. Back in the clinic, Wilson chastises House for continually pushing people away for the tiniest flaws. Foreman reports significant bleeding in Mary's temporal lobe and Chase finds no sign of poisoning. House asks Cuddy for an operating room and a neurosurgeon. They rush Mary into surgery.

Mary's parents arrive at the hospital after the surgery. Foreman informs them that the operation went well and the swelling and pressure are going down. In his office, House peruses the board listing Mary's symptoms. Chase and Foreman run through possible explanations. What else do they know about Mary? She's twelve, she travels a lot and she's not afraid of heights. House suddenly heads for the door. Chase and Foreman follow.

The doctors look at Mary as she recovers in a room. House notices all the balloons. She's quite popular, but none are from male teammates. Is it because she's so young or are they purposefully avoiding her? House orders a recheck of Mary's red blood cells to see if they are intact. Under the microscope, Chase notices that Mary's blood looks like it's been in a blender. Foreman thinks it's purpura and she is bleeding into her skin. Yet ther is no e coli and she is not menopausal. There might be one other possible cause -- pregnancy.

House performs an ultrasound, which reveals a six-week old fetus. He wonders if a couple of sneaked-in beers led to a lost night, but Mary insists that it wasn't the guy's fault. She knew what she was doing. House is forced to perform a plasmapheresis to clean the antibodies from Mary's blood, which means they will have to terminate the pregnancy. Mary doesn't want her parents to find out. Under state law, House must obey this even though he knows keeping the secret is the wrong decision. House tells Mary's parents that their daughter has TTP, which is easily curable. They don't need to worry about what TTP stands for because it's only a bunch of big words they've never heard before. They press House for details, but he evades them by saying the hospital will perform a small surgical procedure to remove an unnatural growth.

After the procedure and the plasmapheresis, Mary is greatly improved. House spies from afar as Mary's parents visit their little girl. Mary breaks down and tells her parents everything, just what House hoped would happen. The next day, House interviews another prospective candidate, but he tells her there's no open position.

House heads back to Cameron's apartment to say that he needs her back. She claims that she's accepted another position, but House tells her to drop it. He wants her back, and offers up more money and a car allowance. Yet she only wants a dinner as a date, not as a colleague. He agrees and they shake hands over this odd deal. Cameron says she'll be back at work the next morning.

1.HOUSE: Those little pills you’re passing out so efficiently aren’t gonna do Miss Louganis squat.
House: 你急著發的那些小藥片對我們的Louganis小姐不會有任何效果。
9分21秒處，本集片頭的跳水教練患的是高傳染性急性腦膜炎，因此全跳水館的人都被隔離在醫院做檢查並吃藥。然而House在診斷的時候意外的發現那個跳水冠軍Mary Carroll患上了另一種疾病，於是Cuddy要House和手下去診斷那些被隔離觀眾的時候，House要求診斷Mary Carroll，並且說“你發的那些（預防腦膜炎）的小藥片對我們的Louganis小姐不會有任何效果。”Greg Louganis是美國著名的跳水運動員，在1984和1988年奧運會上摘取了4塊金牌，House在這裏用她比喻本集的跳水運動員Mary Carroll。

2.HOUSE: Trying to think of anything except the produce department at Whole Foods.

19分16秒，Cuddy又抓到了“偷懶”的House，讓他回去診斷那些被隔離的人群。House也又一次被Cuddy的低胸裝吸引（為什麼要加“又”呢），於是他用病例擋住了自己的視線，並提醒自己不要去想“Whole Foods的製造部門”。Whole Foods Market是美國的一個連鎖食品店。不去想食品市場的製造部門，自然就是不去想Cuddy胸前的“兩塊肉”了。這裏比較搞笑的是弄的旁邊的Wilson也不禁看了兩眼。

3.WILSON: That’s our Hitler!
Wilson: 就是她了！
26分53秒，在House面試完醫生Petra Gilmar後，Wilson叫道“就是她了（這就是我們要的希特勒）”。"That’s our Hitler"出自1968年Mel Brooks的電影《製片人》（The Producers）。講述的是2個百老匯的製片人Max Bialystock和Leo Bloom如何用一出拙劣的舞臺劇來騙取他們投資人的錢的故事。片中他們的劇本，《希特勒的春天》，講述的是一封寫給希特勒的情書。在選角的時候，嬉皮士Lorenzo St. DuBois唱了一首歌，Max聽後叫道“這就是我們要的希特勒！（That’s our Hitler!）”。在2006年的金球獎頒獎典禮上（也就是大叔獲得最佳電視劇男主角的這屆），《製片人》2005年的翻拍電影也入圍了多個獎項。

4.WILSON: What, did your horoscope in Vogue tell you to avoid women wearing green shoes?
Wilson: 怎麼，你在"Vogue"（雜誌）裏算得你要小心穿綠鞋的女人？
27分05秒，在Wilson叫完“That’s our Hitler”後，House立刻拒絕錄用Petra Gilmar醫生，理由是她的鞋子。Wilson很不解。"Vogue"（內地名《服飾與美容》）是世界上最成功且最具影響力的時尚雜誌之一，被奉為時尚界的《聖經》。

5.HOUSE: You wouldn’t know Prada if one stepped on your scrotum.
27分15秒，Wilson說Gilmar醫生的鞋子是Prada牌的，說明她品位很好。House說“不，不是Prada的，即使一雙Prada鞋狠狠的踩了你的小弟弟，你也不知道它是Prada牌的。”（大叔嘴太賤了-_-）。Prada SpA是一家著名的義大利時尚公司，他們的鞋在歐美和日本的白領女性中很受歡迎。

6.WILSON: Nobody’s perfect.
Wilson: 人無完人。
29分49秒，House說Cameron有缺點的，Wilson說“人無完人”。於是大叔舉了2個自己認為是完人的女性。Theresa修女和Angelina Jolie。好萊塢著名的女星安吉利娜朱莉（Angelina Jolie）就不多說了。Theresa修女（Mother Theresa）是慈善團體Missionaries of Charity的創始人，致力於幫助第三世界比如印度的貧苦人民，在2003年去世。

7.HOUSE: Our little mermaid is bleeding into her temporal lobe.
House: 我們的小美人魚有顳葉出血。
30分16秒，House將本集的病號，跳水運動員Mary比作小美人魚。安徒生的童話《海的女兒》（"The Little Mermaid"）大家相信都看過了，字面翻譯就是《小美人魚》，1989年曾被迪士尼拍成動畫片。這裏可以看出Cuddy雖然總是和大叔作對，但是是很在乎病人安危的。她本來反對House給Mary做腦手術，但得知Mary顳葉出血後，大叔要求20分鐘後能進行手術，Cuddy說10分鐘我就給你最好的外科醫生。

Pregnant Naomi Randolph is in the driver's seat with her slightly intoxicated husband, Sean, as a passenger. Suddenly, she goes limp and the car swerves into oncoming traffic. Sean quickly grabs the wheel and pulls the car over. A police officer arrives. When Naomi slurs her words, he asks her to get out of the car. She mindlessly sways to the back of the car, then collapses.

At the hospital, Foreman tells the Randolphs that there is no sign of stroke but the bloodwork shows that her kidneys and liver are struggling. Naomi nervously declares that she's 39 and has miscarried three times already. Foreman and Chase track down House, who's napping. He takes Naomi's file and becomes interested when he sees she has three miscarriages. Foreman reports that her B.U.N. and creatinine are up and her LFTs are slightly elevated. Yet he thinks that, with three miscarriages, there's some underlying physiology. House muses that it could be pregnancy-related autoimmunity where the body becomes allergic to the baby. House also informs them in passing that Cameron quit. Foreman and Chase are shocked, but House merely asks for a blood test, an MRI, a sonogram and a round of magnesium in case it is pre-eclampsia.

The ultrasound shows no sign of fetal distress. Naomi swallows a bit of food, but begins choking on it. They cannot perform the Heimlich maneuver, so Foreman dives in with the forceps. Naomi can't swallow. An MRI shows no signs of vasculitis. Naomi begins cramping up during the exam. Foreman and Chase recognize the pre-term labor and administer medicines to prevent it.

House sneaks around the hospital, trying to avoid Vogler. Vogler corners House in his office anyway. House tries to say he cut Cameron to make things even, but Vogler declares that tomorrow morning House will announce his resignation and make a public apology. If not, Vogler will destroy him.

Chase and Foreman tell House that Naomi's contractions are under control and she might make it to full term. Chase affirms that it's pre-eclampsia. Foreman suggests myasthenia, which would explain the muscle loss and choking incident. House counters that choking on a soft, wet pear is well past the point of mere muscle weakness. House orders them to administer an endoscopy and check her eyelids. Wilson pulls House away to inform him that the board met this morning about his future. House feels very confident about his status, because his tenure needs a unanimous vote to be revoked and his contract is still current. Wilson thinks Vogler will find a way to get to him.

House then checks in with another patient. Two young parents named Joel and Rachel Kaplan have a baby that developed pneumonia and malnourishment after the parents put the child on a raw food vegan diet. House reports that the baby is improving, but they need to give her a real diet, which they gladly agree to do. At that moment, Social Services bursts in, seizes the child and arrests the Kaplans for child endangerment. House confronts Cuddy, wondering if this is how Vogler will get him. Cuddy calmly explains that the nurses were concerned and made the call. House took a big legal risk in not reporting the abuse. She warns him not to give Vogler an excuse to dump him.

Foreman and Chase examine Naomi's eyelids and notice some drooping. Chase peers at her esophagus and notices swelling. An X-ray reveals a three centimeter mass in the right upper lobe. Foreman hopes it's a granuloma, but House points out that there's no calcification. Wilson tells the Naomi that she has small cell lung cancer. It has spread, so they cannot operate. The antibodies her body was making to fight the tumor got sidetracked, which explains the brain and kidney problems. She suffers from Lambert-Eaton syndrome. Wilson plainly informs Naomi that the five year survival rate is only ten to fifteen percent, so they have to start chemo and radiation right away. Naomi asks about the baby. They will be forced to perform a C-section before starting treatment, and the child has an 80% chance of surviving the early birth. Naomi refuses the treatment. With only a 15% chance of surviving, she'd rather protect the baby.

Vogler sums up some of House's recent actions to the hospital board. He has violated a DNR, was charged with assault, he spit on a surgeon and he accepted a gift from a known mafia member. Wilson leaps to House's defense, citing that he has saved hundreds of lives. Vogler calls House a drug addict, a disgrace and an embarrassment. Vogler makes it simple: either House is fired or Vogler leaves with his hundred million dollars. Vogler calls for a vote. All of the board members -- including Cuddy - approve termination. Wilson is opposed, and House is saved because it wasn't unanimous. Vogler immediately calls a vote on dismissing Dr. Wilson from the board.

House meets with Chase and Foreman to discuss Naomi's refusal of treatment. House thinks they need to raise her odds of survival in order to convince her to agree to the treatment. He walks off to look for Wilson, but is stopped by the Kaplans. They plead with him for help, claiming that they fed their baby enough and a nutritionist advised them that this diet was safe. Intrigued, House calls Foreman and asks for a CT scan on Olive Kaplan. House finds Wilson, who's packing up his office. He decided to resign after being dumped off the board. Wilson angrily complains that only two things matter to him -- his job and his friendship with House. Yet House didn't care enough about either to give one lousy speech. House feebly tries to apologize, then asks about some clinical trials for Naomi's sake. Later, House tries to confront Cuddy, but she quickly ends the conversation by declaring that he may be a great doctor but he is not worth $100 million.

House meets with another oncologist and shows him a slide of Naomi's cancer cells with hopes to getting her into the doctor's clinical trial. She is eligible if she can be ready to begin in two days. House schedules a C-section for Naomi, but Foreman and Chase argue that this is against hospital regulations. Clinical trials cannot be conducted until at least a month after a major surgery. Why give Vogler any help in firing House?

House lays everything out for Naomi, but she resists. Sean begs House to convince Naomi to agree. After Sean leaves the room, Naomi asks about her incontinence which is rare for a woman of her age. House questions whether this is really her first child. Naomi confesses that she bore a girl when she was eighteen, but the baby suffered from infantile Alexander's disease. The child died and Naomi separated from her husband. She wanted to start her life over. House accuses her of being selfish and ignoring what Sean truly wants, which is for Naomi to fight the cancer. She tearfully agrees to the C-section.

Naomi is put under for the operation, but a call comes into the OR and the surgeons end the procedure before starting. Vogler has nixed it. House confronts Vogler in the lobby and indicts him for killing Naomi. Vogler says that he needs to protect the study, protect the numbers and protect the protocol from the FDA. Vogler tells House to calm down because there is another board meeting that night.

Chase and Foreman lay out the situation for Naomi and Sean. Naomi begins gasping for air. Chase slides an ET tube down her throat and Foreman kicks on the ultrasound. They spot a blood clot, which needs to be removed immediately. Foreman tells Sean it requires his permission to begin the procedure, but that it's not that simple. The best course for the baby would be an immediate C-section to prevent any damage from a lack of oxygen. In her current condition, there's a real chance that Naomi won't survive the C-section. Sean opts to avoid the C-section and save his wife.

In the OR, Foreman pushes for streptokinase. It is not enough, and they are forced to suck out the clot. Chase inserts a special embolecetomy catheter into Naomi's IV line and draws out the clot. House checks Naomi's printout. Her BP drops again and House realizes that she's bleeding into her abdomen. There is no way to stop it. House tells Sean that he needs to okay the C-section because Naomi is likely to die either way. House explains that he must make a decision to save the baby. Sean relents.

The baby is removed and the doctors wait for it to take a breath. Naomi goes into cardiac arrest and they try to shock her back to life. As they work, the baby screams. It is alive. Outside, House catches Cuddy on her way to the board meeting. He hands Cuddy the CT scan for Olive Kaplan. Cuddy notices the thymus gland indicates DiGeorge Syndrome, a genetic condition which explains the lack of weight gain. House tells Cuddy to start Olive on immunoglobin replacement because he assumes that he won't be around long enough to do it himself.

The meeting gets underway and Vogler conducts the vote. This time, only Cuddy is opposed. Vogler can't believe that she would change her mind since yesterday. She argues that he might have saved another life. Cuddy points out that Vogler is responsible to no one and that if the board rolls over for this, then Vogler will completely own them without any dissenting voices. She leaves them to their vote.

Later, House and his staff celebrate the fact that Cuddy's speech convinced four board members to give up Vogler's money. Cuddy says that she voted to get rid of the lesser of two evils. Losing $100 million is no victory for anybody.

Simpson case, he's the chairman of The Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Awareness, Khloe's charity. Khloe's good friend Brent passed away due to his drug addiction, and she's had her own very public brush with DUI. Hoping people can learn from her mistakes, Khloe is thrilled to hand Robert a check for $20,000, the winnings from last week's challenge.

 

 

It's a beautiful morning in New York City, and Teams Athena and KOTU assemble in the courtyard of St. Bartholomew's Church, known for its splendid weddings. Accompanied by George Ross and Ivanka, Mr. Trump exits his town car to present this week's task: selling bridal gowns. Donated by RK Bridal, each team will be given 125 dresses to sell for charity. The team that makes the most money wins.

 

 

To even things up, Joan Rivers will sit out the first day of this week's task. Donald orders the teams to choose their project managers, reminding Tom that he committed to serving as PM last week. Claiming that no one else on the team can manage them to a win, Tom is happy to step up. Brande volunteers to head up Team Athena, thinking it's the perfect sort of task for her to manage. Later Donald reviews the situation. Tom is funny and he makes a lot of money, but funny and leadership don't necessarily go hand in hand. Brande is one of the most successful Playmates ever, but she's going to have to manage a tough group of killer babes. It's going to be very interesting...

 

Tom brings Team KOTU together for a pep talk. Even though the wedding dress thing might not be the best for a bunch of dudes, he wants everyone to keep morale up, have fun and not argue. His strategy is to keep it simple and focus on his team's fundraising power. He looks to Clint to tap his music friends and raise $100,000. On Athena, Melissa enlists her old friend, wedding planner/designer Preston Bailey, to help out. He offers to transform their dull retail space into something special; the women are definitely feeling that they've got the upper hand.

 

 

Dennis remarks that the bare retail space sucks; Jesse sets a goal: they need a name in 45 minutes, something attention-grabbing, that's not the same as what the women might pick. Brian volunteers to take care of the accounting. Clint gets on the phone to drum up sales, while Jesses suggests holding a "Red Carpet" wedding sale, and Tom loves the idea. The rest of the team gets down to working the phones while, with Tom's blessing, Dennis and Herschel hit the streets to "drum up business." For Herschel, this consists mainly of accompanying Dennis to bars to watch him flirt and drink. Ivanka stops by and likes what she sees, though she wonders where Dennis and Herschel are. Tom calls an end to the day's work and then he and Dennis head off to continue the party on the streets of New York.

Claudia floats the idea of a "Red Carpet with Joan and Melissa Rivers," sale and the ladies are off and running. Melissa emails her mom, and Annie takes charge of the accounting. She needs to prove to her team that she can learn from her mistakes, so she wants a non-confrontational task. She calls her friend, poker player Perry Friedman, who puts in for a "main event" -- the first dress of Athena's sale goes for $10,000!

 

 

Early the next morning, Clint, Brian, Jesse and Herschel climb into the van, but there's no sign of Dennis or Tom, who are rumored to have hit a strip club last night. Angry, Jesse calls Tom, who sounds like he's still sleeping, and tells him to wake up Dennis. The guys proceed to the store. At 8:40, a bleary-eyed Tom gets picked up by the van and heads to the store without Dennis, getting pumped up for the day. Tom admits that he's essentially in love with Dennis, in a completely masculine and friendly way.

 

 

After spending yesterday out of town giving a lecture on survival, Joan is happy to be back working with Team Athena. The women are thrilled when a truckload of flowers arrives, and Melissa complements Brande on her project management skills.

 

 

 

KOTU members need some help and Dennis is nowhere to be found. Tom claims that he went to Dennis' room and knocked, but there was no answer, so he asked the hotel to call every five minutes. Apparently Dennis is having trouble with his eyes and isn't coming in. Although the guys have done almost nothing to decorate their store, Tom claims the look is minimal on purpose; customers will get the impression they can get a good deal.

 

 

Preston has magically transformed Athena's shop, and there's a line of customers waiting outside when they finally open for business. Armed with champagne and cupcakes, the ladies get right to work, and have a great time acting as bridal consultants for the day.

 

 

 

George arrives to check out KOTU's store, which he immediately notices is not nearly as appealing as Athena's. The women have turned their sale into more of an entertainment experience. George is unhappy to learn that Dennis didn't show up for work, even though Tom claims that he's sick, and a doctor has been sent to the hotel. Having worn his nicest suit, Brian gets to work charming the ladies and selling dresses. Joan stops in to check out the men's' store, and is horrified to find it packed with customers. Athena's store is empty, and Brande starts worrying that the men are pulling in more money.

 

The women decide to get aggressive. Khloe and Claudia stand on the street in bridal gowns to trash talk KOTU's store and literally pull customers into their store, amazing Herschel. In the final hour, Tom gets aggressive with his customers, trying to drive up sales. A courier arrives with several big checks from Clint's people, including one for $5000 from Tim McGraw. Meanwhile, the ladies accept a $25,000 check from QVC, and Annie's poker-playing friend Perry Friedman flies in from Vegas to buy a dress for $10,000 cash.

 

 

That evening, both teams assemble in the board room. Brande is thrilled with her team; no one did a poor job. The day's stars were Annie and Melissa. Joan admits that she'll be fired ahead of Melissa, and Melissa claims that Brande stood out as project manager. Tom congratulates his team for a great job, singling out Clint and Herschel as their heroes for raising the lion's share of the money. Donald recalls Dennis' famous moment in a wedding dress. Did KOTU use Dennis' celebrity to their advantage?

 

 

Tom and Dennis struggle to explain. Dennis is allergic to cats. Last night they went to the apartment of some dot com billionaires to try to raise money, and the billionaires had dogs. Still, Dennis hit the streets yesterday to raise money. George wants to know who decorated KOTU's store -- Stevie Wonder? Donald asks Ivanka for the final totals. KOTU sold 21 dresses earning a total of $63,450, but Athena sold 22 dresses for a whopping $103,000! Brande is safe, and she's won $163,000 for her California Police Youth Charities.

 

 

Donald feels embarrassed for the men, as KOTU reels from a third straight loss. Tom defends his team; they've been working at a deficit after two weeks of continuous arguing. When Donald asks him to blame the loss on someone, Tom claims that Brian didn't focus exclusively on his task. Brian points out that Tom showed up late and Dennis didn't show up at all. Tom admits he would be mad at Dennis if he didn't have a medical problem. And even though the team thinks Tom overslept, he didn't -- he spent half an hour knocking on Dennis' door.

 

 

Natalie asks the women what they really think happened to Dennis -- was it a cat or a dog that caused his allergic reaction? Melissa maintains that it was a girl named Kitty. It turns out that Dennis refused to see the doctor, because he knew that all he had to do was take some pills and wait for his eyes to get better. Donald still can't understand why Dennis disrespected Tom -- why didn't he answer the door? The ladies observe that Dennis only works when he wants to work -- he's a diva!

 

 

Annie bets Brande $5 that Dennis will get fired. Back in the boardroom, Donald asks Jesse who he would fire. Jesse admits he would fire both Tom and Dennis. Donald wonders if Dennis can actually be led, and asks Dennis what he should do. After all Dennis didn't produce much, and wouldn't listen to anyone, certainly not Tom. And what did Tom actually produce? Tom admits he didn't bring in any big money, but he was focused on organizing everyone. Donald points out that the store looked lousy, and Tom did a lousy job of managing Dennis -- he's not much of a leader. Donald fires Tom, and asks Dennis to try a little harder.

 

Afterwards, Tom bolts into the wrong elevator, as the women remark on the brutal session. Annie can't believe that she now owes Brande $5. Both Donald and Ivanka agree that they fired the right man, as Tom climbs into a town car headed for the airport.

 

 

 

Khloe 贏得上次比賽，獎金進入The Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Awareness組織。

這次是銷售婚紗比賽，誰賺的錢多，誰贏，規則很簡單。

Tom and Brande 分別為男女組的Leader。

兩隊開始的狀況都差不多，Show也沒強調多少。問題開始出現在 Dennis 以人體招牌為名去Bar喝酒。看完這段真的覺得Dannis真的很機車，分別是去把妹的，還招牌勒。東摸摸西摸摸，真噁心。結果隔天還裝病並未參加比賽，這種參賽態度是我看過8季以來最過分的。聽說晚上Dannis和Tom還去.............真是太不尊重比賽的兩個人，Tom身為Leader早上還睡過頭，甚至有點宿醉。開除兩個其中之ㄧ都不為過。

買東西是種心情，是種氣氛，女生在這方面做的比男生好太多太多。Melissa找來婚禮策劃者Preston裝飾整間店面，相對之下，男生非常單薄，不過有些人就是喜歡在簡單的環境下，沒有太多人打擾的情況下買東西。

最後女生以美金10,600贏得這次比賽。Tom因為無法管理自己，無法管理Dannis，對男生組毫無貢獻，自己也沒籌到任何錢因而遭到開除。

Tom是個藝術家，但絕不是個商人，不是個領導者。

Senator Gary Wright speaks at a fundraiser, but stumbles through the end of his speech. Then he struggles to converse with a supporter. Wright vomits on the man's suit before collapsing and tumbling down a flight of stairs.

Vogler gives the Senator's case to House. He also notes that if House was a team player from the start, then he wouldn't have to fire Cameron or Foreman. Vogler wants House to give a speech at the National Cardiology Conference next week where he is to extol the virtues of Eastbrook Pharmaceuticals' new and more expensive ACE inhibitor. Eastbrook is owned by Vogler. House chafes at the request. Vogler says he is to make the speech and examine the Senator, or else he will have to fire one of his protégés.

House and Foreman examine Wright, but Foreman does all the work. The man has a big scar on his tongue, which Wright explains happened when he was six and fell off the swings. House doesn't buy that explanation, pointing out that tongues heal fast. Then House notices that Wright has no reflexes when Foreman taps him with a mallet. House orders an MRI and a lumbar puncture, telling the Senator to cancel his travel plans.

The LP results are negative for infection and the MRI is fairly clean. There is, however, a low intensity spot inside the Broca's area of the brain. House tells the team that the lesion could either be nothing, a brain tumor or an infection. He orders surgery. He also lets the team know that none of them will have to worry about their jobs. House doesn't go into further details.

Cuddy is angry at House for attempting a risky brain biopsy based on a spot on an MRI. It could cause permanent neurological damage. House argues that a tumor is just as bad, but Cuddy says that neither of them can make that call. They lay out the situation to Senator Wright, explaining that it could be something or it could be nothing. Wright asks what the voters will think. House becomes intrigued when he hears Wright stutter while asking the question.

Surgery begins. Afterwards, the biopsy shows that there is no tumor or bacterial infection. Yet Wilson becomes quite concerned as he examines the biopsy and finds toxoplasmosis. This means that Wright has full-blown AIDS. Foreman and House explain to Wright that toxoplasmosis is a fairly common fungus that people can get from eating undercooked meat or touching cat feces. It usually responds to treatment and it only causes lesions when a patient's immune system is not functioning. The doctors think he has AIDS. Wright angrily denies the possibility. House informs him that the toxo drugs will fight the fungi, but it's going to be nasty. Wright firmly orders House to give him the toxo drugs, test him for HIV under a false name, and then run a test for cancer. Wright again proclaims that he does not have AIDS.

Cameron comes across an email press release announcing House's upcoming speech and reads it to Chase. They're shocked that House would do this. House enters and explains his deal with Vogler. He tells them that Foreman is testing Wright for leukemia, but he needs Chase and Cameron to rush the Elisa test for HIV. Cameron thanks him for agreeing to give the speech, but House presses on.

Foreman administers the test by injecting Wright in the back, and he says that they can wait until the HIV test results return. Wright claims not to be lying because black politicians can't lie and nobody gives them the benefit of the doubt.

House gives Wright the results of the Elisa test. It's positive. His T cell count is so low, he is close to death. They will need to contact his sexual partners. Wright insists that he's only had two girlfriends since his wife died and that he used condoms. House tells him to come clean and admit to homosexual relations. Wright chides House for being so cynical and never believing in people. House draws some more blood from Wright.

The next day, Wright tries to get out of bed, but his foot is numb. Cuddy thinks the antiretrovirals aren't working, and she prods House for not seeing that Wright is just going to get worse. House is more concerned with why Cuddy is spying on his case. House tells Wright that the antiretrovirals are not working because he doesn't have AIDS. The test returned a false positive, which happens one time in five thousand. Wright's relief is erased when House says that he is still dying, only now they don't know why.

House convenes the team outside, away from Cuddy. Foreman notes that Wright is losing control of the muscles on his right side, his brain is getting foggier and his T cells are still in the single digits. What could be causing this? House orders a full body scan.

Wilson asks House if he ran a second AIDS test because he suspected a false positive. House claims that it is standard procedure, which Wilson knows he doesn't care about. House admits that he was moved by Wright's insistence that he didn't engage in risk behaviors. Wilson mocks House's first bout of actually believing in people. Wilson then wonders if being near the ultra-nice Cameron is rubbing off on House. He then realizes that House has an interest in Cameron.

A CT scan on Wright reveals five slightly enlarged lymph nodes and a cyst in both his liver and right kidney. Cuddy orders all this to be checked out. Vogler enters, handing House his notes for the speech. House criticizes Vogler for undermining him in front of his staff. Vogler retorts that they already know that House is undermined. House pulls Chase into his office for a speech. He asks Chase how they can work together with Chase constantly reporting on him. Chase responds that he had no choice.

Foreman performs the multiple biopsies on a sedated Wright. He finds that both cysts are benign and that all the lymph nodes are clean. House suspects hairy cell leukemia and wants to biopsy Wright's spleen. Everybody resists. Chase insists that the spleen will bleed too much and Cuddy believes that, because of the Senator's condition, this procedure could cause sepsis and death. Foreman says that Wright's brain is turning to mush. They have to do it.

House approaches Cameron in the lab and tries to inquire as to why she would like him, but it goes nowhere. They bicker about House's personal issues and he leaves.

Foreman approaches Wright to get a consent signature for the biopsy, but Wright now has a hacking cough. Foreman says they don't need consent because they can't perform the biopsy. He tells the team that Wright's breathing is severely impaired. His stain indicates pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, which is another killer fungus consistent with hairy cell leukemia. Yet with respiratory distress, they can't biopsy because Wright's blood won't clot. How else can they diagnose hairy cell? House wonders what other symptoms a patient with hairy cell would have. Chase and Cameron suggest virii like HTLV and interleukin-2. House orders tests for both.

Foreman shows House the test results. Wright is negative on all virii. It's not hairy cell. House notices that Wright is positive for Epstein Barr. He rushes into Wright's room and removes his oxygen mask. Wright begins gasping for air. House says that he knows the tongue scar is from an epileptic seizure. Wright says he hasn't had a seizure since he was six and has not been on medication since he was ten. House asks if the medication was phenytoin, which Wright confirms.

House bursts into his office and tells the team. Wright took phenytoin. This, along with the Epstein Barr virus, is associated with common variable immunodeficiency disease. The body can't fight off fungi. House posits that Wright contracted this as a kid. Yet recent stress, like giving big speeches, triggered its reemergence. Cameron doubts it, but House orders an IV immunoglobin. If Wright improves, House is right. If House is wrong, Wright is dead.

Foreman inserts the IV. The medicine begins to drip. After some time, Wright improves greatly. He'll need medication for the rest of his life, but he will be fine.

The time comes for House's big speech. He dispassionately reads a one paragraph statement about the drug. Vogler stops House and tells him that wasn't enough. House returns to the microphone and praises Vogler as a brilliant businessman. House then congratulates Eastbrook and Vogler for smartly tweaking their ACE inhibitor just slightly enough to win a new patent and make millions more.

That night, House is at home ignoring his phone when Cameron drops by. She tells House that he won't have to fire anyone because she's leaving. This is the only way she can deal with her feelings for him.

完美之身（Immaculate conception）是天主教關於聖母瑪麗亞的一個故事。如果你瞭解一點的話，你就應該聽說聖母瑪利亞生耶穌的時候是完美無罪之身，這裏的“罪”指的是人類的原罪，就是人類一切罪惡的根本。原本是指亞當夏娃偷吃禁果這件事，後來就可以指男女的婚姻（記得安潔麗娜朱莉的電影《原罪》麼，說的就是婚姻）和人類的誕生（born）了——正是亞當夏娃的原罪，使得兩人結合並哺育出人類。天主教認為上帝為誕生耶穌而派遣聖母瑪利亞來到人間，後來她受到聖靈感應而產子，即耶穌。因此耶穌也是無原罪的完美之身（沒有經歷過born過程）。後人就直接認為瑪麗亞是處女產子了。
Susan聲稱自己1年多都沒有過性生活，然而House卻診斷出她曾經懷孕過，因此大叔才認為說你簡直就是聖母瑪利亞（處女產子），並建議其創立一個信仰（因為聖母瑪麗亞的兒子就是耶穌，創立的基督教）。

NASCAR dads並不是字幕裏翻譯的“看電視的白癡”，而是一種選票統計，統計的對象主要是工薪階層和中低收入的白人男性。在2004年小布希和克裏的總統競選中，這個階層的人比較搖擺不定，因此當時NASCAR dads也被認為是最為重要的一個統計結果（誰占優，誰就可能當總統）。那麼為什麼叫NASCAR dads（看NASCAR的父親們）呢，因為其統計物件被認為也是NASCAR——全美賽車比賽協會（National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing）的主要收視群體。與其對應的另一個統計叫Soccer moms（鼓勵孩子踢球的母親們），其物件自然就是家中有個剛上學的孩子的女性選民了，這個群體在選舉中的立場也常因為參選人對醫療，教育，稅收等與家庭有關的政策而搖擺不定，因此也是很需要拉攏的一個群體。

House一劇除了人物塑造等等外，還體現出美國的宗教，政治，傳媒，體育文化，這一集應該就可以看到一個縮影吧。

Episode 116 : 2005-03-28

Ten-year old Jessica Simms tells her mother that she isn't feeling good and doesn't want to go to school. She admits that she thinks the kids at school hate her. At school that day, Jessica is jumping rope in gym class when she complains that her chest hurts. The teacher pushes her to finish, but Jessica collapses. Her heart stops beating.

At the hospital, Cuddy asks House if he's made a decision on who to fire per Vogler's order. House wants to stall as long as possible, and she grants him a week. In the elevator, Cameron brings House up to date on Jessica. The team can't believe a 10-year old would have a heart attack but six tests proved it true. Chase thinks it's a simple case of Jessica being too obese and depressed. House though believes that Jessica's legion of previous doctors have missed something. Foreman wonders about a genetic condition. Cameron suggests Metabolic Syndrome X, which could cause a heart attack with high enough blood pressure. House orders a hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp. But before dispatching his staff, he informs them that he'll have to cut one of them by the end of the week. They're all shocked, and Cameron and Foreman think they need to stick together through this.

Cameron explains MS-X to Jessica's mother and says it can be controlled through diet and exercise. Mrs. Simms complains that doctors never see past Jessica's weight. Chase and Foreman try to cajole Jessica onto a scale as part of their standard tests. Afterwards, Chase is upset that Foreman told the little girl that she will probably grow into her body. He is also annoyed that Cameron tries to sugarcoat body image. Foreman counters that Chase is probably uptight because he knows he's the one who will be cut.

House's team conducts the HEC test on Jessica, who freaks out and tries to rip out the IV. The doctors and Mrs. Simms all struggle to restrain her. After sedating Jessica, Foreman explains to Mrs. Simms that psychosis brought on by hypoglycemia is common during HEC tests.

From the results, House declares that Jessica isn't hypoglycemic so her psychosis was caused by something else. Chase suggests blood clots, which Cameron shoots down. Yet it could have been brought on by liposuction, which isn't in Jessica's medical file. House considers other weight treatments like diet pills, which wouldn't show up in toxicology screenings. He orders the patient to be put on heparin and warfarin to prevent further clotting, placing Foreman in charge of locating the diet pills. Foreman chides House for pitting the doctors against each other. House asks Foreman whom he would cut. Foreman nominates Chase because he believes he doesn't appreciate the job. House says he's surprised that Foreman would have named anybody.

Vogler questions Cuddy on House's staff cut and what he has been telling the team. Vogler offers to help if Cameron is the one who's let go.

Foreman asks Jessica's schoolteacher if she ever saw Jessica with pills. He learns that Jessica doesn't have any friends at school, so the teacher directs him to Jessica's assigned 6th grade "buddy." The buddy tells him that Jessica always runs laps at recess because nobody will play with her. The girl says that she totally busted Jessica taking drugs one day.

Although Mrs. Simms adamantly denies giving her daughter diet pills, Jessica admits to taking them on her own. Jessica breaks down in tears and says she took them because she feels ugly and disgusting. The pills seem to explain all of her symptoms. Yet the doctors later find Jessica with huge, bleeding sores on her body. In the office, House thinks the warfarin they gave Jessica led to skin necrosis, but Cameron says they started heparin first. House asks if anybody actually saw Cameron administer the heparin. When there's no answer, he has the team give Jessica an unfractionated IV heparin and low molecular weight heparin by subcutaneous injection right away. Out in the hallway, Cameron lights into Chase for leaving her dangling in the meeting. The team is falling apart.

Vogler takes Foreman aside and asks if he likes working for House and values his job. Foreman responds in the affirmative.

Cameron is studying in the lab when House drops in on her to ask about the mistake with the heparin. Cameron insists that she didn't screw up but that she doesn't have another explanation. House then asks her who she would fire. She suggests that everyone take a pay cut so that they can all stay.

The next day, House announces to Vogler and Cuddy that he's made his decision. He wants to push for a 17% pay cut across the board so that everybody can stay. Vogler rejects this because it's not about the money. He wants to know that House will do whatever Vogler tells him to do, no matter how distasteful.

House catches up with his team, who reports that the necrosis is getting worse. Wilson thinks that if they don't stop it from spreading, it will kill Jessica in about three hours. They need to cut it out before it penetrates the abdominal wall. Wilson and Foreman break the news to Mrs. Simms that a radical mastectomy may be Jessica's only chance for survival because warfarin-induced necrosis attacks fatty tissue.

Cameron barges into House's office, accusing him of insisting that she made a mistake with the heparin so that he has an excuse to fire her. He counters that maybe she actually did make a mistake. Cameron wonders if House can't deal with his feelings for her. House says that she's the only one who has expressed feelings and maybe she's acting this way because she wants to be fired. Meanwhile, Vogler tells Chase that if he's the one fired, then he's going to need a new mole on House's team. Chase complains that he's been feeding Vogler information only to protect himself.

There is no change in Jessica's necrosis. House wonders if Cameron didn't actually screw up, but they don't know what else it could be besides warfarin. Chase posits that maybe Jessica's fatness is a symptom, not a cause. Could it be hypothyroidism? The parents are both big and tall, but Jessica's short. House starts putting it all together. Stunted growth, high blood pressure, blood clots and obesity are all symptoms of Cushing's disease. It can even explain the necrosis in rare cases.

Foreman points out that blood tests have not shown abnormal cortisol levels, but House says that is cyclical. They just haven't caught it at the right time. With only one hour left, they weigh the options between performing the mastectomy and treating her for Cushing's. If they're wrong on Cushing's, Jessica will die. House orders a quick MRI to look for what could cause hypercortisolism. Foreman and Chase study the brain scan. Chase spots a tumor on the brain, indicating Cushing's disease.

Foreman explains the situation to Mrs. Simms. The surgery is quite dangerous because the tumor is located between the cavernous sinuses, an area that controls eye movement, and the major arteries that feed the brain. The surgeon will make an incision under Jessica's lip and insert a fiber optic microscope. He will then go through that incision to chop the tumor into pieces for removal. After a few hours, the surgery ends in success.

A week later, a slimmer Jessica is back for her checkup. Chase, Foreman and Cameron are all happy to see her doing so well. House arrives for his meeting with Vogler and Cuddy. House nominates Chase to be the one who gets fired. Vogler rejects that and orders House to pick someone else. If he doesn't, the whole department is gone.

第16集（S1EP16:Heavy）
1.HOUSE: Why? Because he screwed up an angio a month ago?
15分06秒的時候，House問Foreman如果讓他選的話他會炒掉誰？Foreman回答說是Chase。大叔問到“為什麼？因為他一個月前弄砸了一條脈管？”
這裏指的是在14集"Control"中，Chase所引發的一次事故，當時大家都認為是他做脈管檢測而引發的問題。
同樣在33分07秒的時候，House堅持Cameron犯了錯，Cameron認為那是House對自己的偏見，“because you can’t deal with your feelings for me. ”（因為你無法處理好對我的感覺）。House回答到：“I believe that you are the only one to express feelings.”（我相信你是唯一一個喜歡表達自己感覺的人），這裏指的也是在14集中，Cameron問House是否喜歡她。並不是字幕裏翻譯的“我暫時相信你是唯一一個值得我感情流露的人”，就大叔的性格，大叔估計死都不會說這麼一句話的 -_-

2.SIMMS: Remember the story where the guy keeps saying that he hates green eggs and ham? And then at the end he realized that he really loved them?... You just gotta be like Sam-I-Am and don’t give up.
Simms: 記得那個故事中的那個人麼？他一直說他討厭綠蛋和火腿，結果最後他發現其實他很喜歡那些的...你只要像Sam-I-Am那樣，不要放棄。
本集開始的時候（大約1分10秒處），Jessica不想去學校，因為她的同學會嘲笑她。她的媽媽提到的這個故事。這裏說的綠蛋和火腿，指的是由Dr.Seuss寫的一本兒童讀物Green Eggs And Ham。什麼是綠蛋呢？綠蛋一般指的是和菠菜等蔬菜一起烹飪的普通雞蛋，配上火腿就是一頓早餐了。但是在該書中的綠蛋指的是那種天然的，有著綠色蛋黃的雞蛋。Sam-I-Am是這本書裏的主角名字，他在故事中嘗試說服另外一個人吃綠色的蛋和火腿，但是那人拒絕品嘗如此奇怪的食物。後來Sam-I-Am的不懈努力終於使那人嘗試了綠蛋和火腿，並發現自己很喜歡吃。

3.FOREMAN: It’s some kind of game, House’s own version of “Punk’d”.
Foreman: 這只是某種遊戲而已，House自創的“Punk’d”。
6分8秒的時候，House說要從手下中裁掉一個人，Foreman的第一反應就是表示懷疑“只是House在玩某種把戲而已”。Punk’d是MTV台的真（整）人秀，由Ashton Kutcher製作主持。由Kutcher和他的團隊幫助某名人整其他的名人，並用隱藏的攝像機拍下來。有點像《綜藝最愛憲》那種。

4.FOREMAN: The kids in my neighborhood used to call me Rerun.
9分04秒的時候，Foreman為了讓Jessica去稱體重，對她說自己小時候也很重。“鄰居的小孩都叫我“Rerun”呢。
Rerun是上世紀70年代流行的電視劇What’s Happening!!（《發生了什麼？》）中最重的角色，由[url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Berry]Fred Berry飾演的Freddy Stubbs的外號，講述的是3個黑人美國孩子成長的故事。Foreman作為一個黑人，如果真的很胖的話，那麼Rerun這個外號還是很適合他的。

5.HOUSE: On what? Sharon’s plan for Gaza?
House: 哪方面的？沙龍對加沙的計畫？
House必須要炒掉一個人，Wilson在餐廳問目前有什麼想法沒（10分22秒）。大叔問哪方面的想法。“沙龍對加沙的計畫”，就是以色列總理沙龍的加沙路線圖計畫了。看新聞的應該都知道。說句題外話，他們醫院的伙食真不錯。。。

華僑對上豐原，兩大傳統名校，豐原拿下首兩局，接著華僑拿下一局，第4局，打到25平手，超熱血的，之後豐原失誤一球，華僑攻擊一球，華僑驚險拿下第4局，戰成2比2平手。

兩邊的加油隊，超級High，人超多，把北體體育館給擠爆了，如果我沒看錯應該是北體，因為我在那看過不少比賽。

黃建逢，黃世豪，黃子韋，豐原三大攻擊手，撐起一片天，華僑用團隊力量與之抗衡。

豐商的自由球員超級像我的，以前打進一球，振臂歡呼，那種激情，那種熱情，好懷念阿。

第五局，豐商在浪費過第四局的兩個冠軍點之後，第五局來到14:12，是否會發球得分結束比賽呢? 華僑進攻，結果自己失誤，把冠軍杯讓給了豐原高商，戲劇性的結果，誰也想不到。

整場看下來，簡而言之，HVL比CPBL好看太多了。

Episode 115 : 2005-03-22

Young wiseguy Joey Arnello eats in a hotel room. His brother and lawyer, Bill, is trying to talk him out of testifying. Joey stands up and, feeling dizzy, collapses. Bill tries to help him but the federal agents in the room think he's faking.

At the hospital, Vogler presses Cuddy for a budget on House's work. House comes in with a Federal Court Order issuing him to examine their witness. House wants out of it. Cuddy tells him to either see the patient or go to jail for contempt. After House leaves in a huff, Vogler tells Cuddy she needs to get rid of House or else give Vogler one good reason why they should keep him.

House examines the comatose Joey, who is non-responsive to bright lights and pain. He is nearly dead. Bill wants to know what's happening to his brother. House dismisses him, but Bill threatens House that Joey needs to stay in the hospital so that he can talk him out of testifying.

The MRI shows a subdural hematoma. House thinks those are pseudomembranes from an old injury, which wouldn't cause a coma. He asks about the liver, but Chase reports that the LFTs are only slightly elevated. Foreman wants to go into Joey's brain and evacuate the cavity, but Joey awakes and says that he doesn't want to be drilled. With Joey awake, House's team suggests releasing him. House overrules them, asking for hepatitis serologies and an auto-immune panel.

House learns that Vogler called admitting. They contacted the Justice Department, which came and checked out Joey. Cuddy tells Vogler that she can only control House. House demands to know who checked out Joey. Vogler says that he wanted to keep the government off the hospital's back.

However, Joey is rushed back into the hospital. After he's stabilized, the team begins examining his file again. Joey's liver is worse, but with completely different symptoms. Although tests for Hepatitis C came back positive, House doesn't think that explains the sudden onset. House orders a biopsy, but Chase suggests starting Joey on Interferon to treat the Hep C first so that he will improve faster. House tells him to start the treatment but not to credit House for it. He also wants Chase to get a biopsy while he's at it. House then holds Foreman back from the others and announces that he is pulling him off the case because somebody told Vogler that House lied to the transplant committee about House's last patient, Carly. House tells Foreman that he doesn't think he was the culprit, but he wants Vogler, Cuddy and everybody else to think that's what he believes.

Chase is in Joey's room explaining the Hepatitis C diagnosis, but Bill becomes angry. He slaps Chase with the warning not to mention that his brother has Hep C. He demands that Joey will not be treated for it. Meanwhile, Cuddy tries to save House from Vogler's axe. Although she hates House, she still wants to save his job. Vogler thinks that is proof that she does like him. This is bad for business.

Bill corners House about the disrespect shown to Joey over the Hep C diagnosis. House says that, between the jailhouse tattoos and blood tests, he's guessing that Joey was raped in prison. Bill admits that he heard rumors. Yet if this diagnosis gets out, Joey's reputation will be destroyed. House agrees to administer Interferon, but that he won't keep records on it.

Wilson lets House know that Cuddy has been locked up with Vogler for two days arguing about House's job. They notice a gleaming red '65 Corvette parked in House's spot. A note on the windshield indicates that it's a gift from the Arnellos. Foreman rushes in with the news that Joey's blood pressure has dropped and he is bleeding into his liver. House gets the results of Joey's biopsy, which shows lymphocytic infiltrate and no bridging fibrosis. This means that Joey's condition is acute and not a result of Hep C. The other finding is that exposure to toxins has caused this liver failure. He was poisoned.

Joey's liver begins to shut down. Although they have to wait four hours until the next test results arrive, Joey's liver will only last two hours. House has an idea. A pig is brought into the hospital and placed next to Joey. An IV runs between an artery in Joey's leg and the pig's liver. Cameron and Foreman continue the search for toxins. House notices from chest X-rays and white blood cell counts that Joey recently quit smoking. Outside of Joey's room, the two federal marshals in charge of guarding him argue. One of the marshals recently deposited $3,000 in his wife's checking account, and the other marshal questions whether it was a bribe. House interrupts them to announce that Joey took enough smoking cessation candy containing a Chinese herb to poison himself. He should be fine in a couple of hours.

That night, Wilson advises House to let Vogler tell the feds that Joey can be released since it is important to Vogler. This will also help House's cause. The next day, House dons a lab coat and enters Cuddy's office. He gives Vogler the news that Joey is free to go. Cuddy examines the file and wonders how lozenges would cause such liver failure. House points out that it's a toxic match with Interferon. As Cuddy yells at House for altering Joey's medical file, House is paged. Joey has lapsed into another coma.

The team reconvenes to discuss causes. Chase again argues for Hep C, which they never really treated. House again notes that Joey's condition is acute and not chronic. Chase suggests an experimental treatment that's never been tried on humans using a non-nucleoside allosteric inhibitor to change the virus. Foreman phones a hospital in Philadelphia that's currently testing this treatment on dogs.

While seeing another patient, House has an epiphany. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one. On the team's white board, House crosses out liver and estrogen. A discussion with Chase leads House to start thinking about what's causing the comas. House approaches the federal marshal that made the recent deposit. Bill interrupts, saying they just gave the marshal some money to get Joey some decent food not on the hospital menu. House sees that Joey had a steak before each coma, and he mentions Ornithine Transcarbamylase Deficiency which is a genetic condition. If the condition is in the body and a patient eats a large amount of protein, the symptoms can come out. If House is wrong and they stop treatment, Joey will die. House admits that he could be wrong because of Joey's increased estrogen level. But he has a theory. A product called Male Flame contains estrogen. It is marketed to gay men and sold on the same website that offered Joey's smoking cessation candy.

Bill adamantly declares that his brother isn't gay, but House thinks this is an overreaction. If he's so sure, they will continue Joey's treatment. Bill finally relents and Chase shuts off Joey's IV. Bill still can't believe that his brother might be gay. House points out that the only way a mob guy could come out of the closet is to change his name and move to another town. This is what happens after one testifies for the government.

After a few hours, Joey pulls out of his coma. He and Bill have a last conversation about the decision to run away. Bill calls the feds to announce that they are ready to make a deal. Even though they danced around the issue, Joey smiles at his brother's reluctant acceptance of his lifestyle.

Cuddy and House have another conversation. Cuddy says that Vogler threatened to fire her, but she told him that she was the only one who knows about the secret stuff that isn't in the books. So Vogler needs her. She wants changes. House has to do six more clinic hours a month and he must fire someone from his team. He has to choose between Chase, Cameron or Foreman.

第15集（EP15:Mob Rules）
1.麻風病
Vogler在這集討論House的問題的時候，說道House“把新澤西從麻風病中拯救出來...”，這裏指的是在13集中House救了一個得了麻風病的小孩。

2.證人保護程式
在本集的病人Joey Arnello因為是重要證人的原因，所以在住院時登記的是名字是John Smith。他的朋友Bill在片頭（18秒的樣子）就提到了這個他擔心無法保護Joey的聯邦證人保護程式。美國聯邦證人保護程式（The United States Federal Witness Protection Program）於上世紀60年代末設立，旨在保護聯邦證人，尤其是那些對犯罪組織團夥不利的證人。證人一般被轉移並被安排新的身份，甚至對其家人保密。

3.銀河戰士：獵人
為了讓Joey從昏迷中蘇醒過來，House在他耳朵邊上玩遊戲...-_-
大叔這裏玩的遊戲是任天堂一款經典的NDS遊戲《銀行戰士：獵人》（Metroid Prime: Hunters）

4.邪惡軸心
House的手下建議讓Joey離開，House不同意“But unless I’ve been named as the fourth part of the Axis of Evil, invaded and occupied, this is still not a democracy. He’s staying.”（除非我被認為是邪惡軸心的第四國，被侵略並被佔領。我這可不搞什麼民主，他要留下來。）
邪惡軸心（Axis of Evil）是美國總統小布希在2002年第一次提出的一個概念，包括伊朗，伊拉克和朝鮮。一年後，美國在2003年就出兵伊拉克推翻了薩達姆政權，獨裁政府被推翻，而在伊拉克的駐軍目前正在幫助建立一個民主政府。大叔說的就是這事。

5.HOUSE: So, your junior G-man badge isn’t looking so good.
House: 你的那G-man新人獎章看起來並不怎麼樣。
12分17秒處，Vogler為了幫助聯邦探員而擅自讓Joey出院了，結果在Joey兩小時後返回醫院時，House挖苦到“這麼看來，你那G-man新人獎章估計要泡湯了”。G-man新人獎章（Junior G-Man Badge）是由FBI頒發給對調查有重大貢獻的人員的獎勵。與徽章同時辦法的還有一張印有FBI著名探員，曾殺死惡名昭著的銀行劫匪和殺人犯John Dillinger的Melvin Purvis簽名和照片的證書。在美國的很多作品裏都有用這個徽章來調侃那些賣命幫政府工作的人或者行為。比如在《盜火線》裏，: That’s right.
Vincent Hanna在問Richard Torena的時候就說過“你想要什麼？G-man新人獎章麼？”

6.FOREMAN: You thought he was being poisoned by hemlock? Dr. Euripides tell you to check for that?

24分15秒的時候，Cameron說她排除了芹葉鉤吻毒的可能，Foreman很驚訝Cameron居然曾經懷疑是芹葉鉤吻毒的可能。他問道“歐裏庇得斯讓你去檢查的麼？”這裏的Euripides可不是這個醫院裏的另一個什麼醫生，而是古希臘著名的悲劇詩人和劇作家歐裏庇得斯，其代表作有

《依萊克夏》（Electra，Electra是特洛伊戰中希臘統帥阿伽門農的女兒，阿伽門農凱旋後被妻子所殺，Electra讓弟弟把母親的姦夫殺死，造成了母親的自殺，後來Electra情結也可以理解為女兒的戀父厭母情結，對應的自然就是著名的男孩戀母的俄狄浦斯（Oedipus）情結了）

Foreman在這稱其為Dr. Euripides（歐裏庇得斯醫生）很顯然是在調侃Cameron。歐裏庇得斯傳說是被天上掉下來的烏龜砸死的（也太扯了吧-_-），不過後來據說是被判死刑後用芹葉鉤吻毒毒死的。同時代被判死刑的還有著名的希臘哲學家蘇格拉底。

7.HOUSE: Our friend Babe helped with that one.
House: 我們的朋友Babe幫助我們排除了那種可能。
28分48秒的時候，Joey的血液已經通過豬的肝臟過濾掉毒素了，但是卻陷入再次昏迷，並且情況比之前還糟。House在分析病情的時候因此排除了中毒的可能性，原因就是這句話。這裏暗指的是1995年奧斯卡獲獎電影《豬寶貝》，裏面的主角就是一頭叫Babe的可愛小豬。

Members of Team KOTU reflect on last week's devastating loss. After the scene in the board room, Herschel doesn't want to go back in. When he loses, he can't sleep, and he has to be ready to move onto the next task. Clint admits that Herschel may not have made the best project manager, but if Team KOTU wants to move forward, its members will have to subordinate themselves to the project manager and respect his authority. Tom muses that he can't really trust his teammates; if they threw his good friend Dice under the bus, they might want to throw him under the bus, too.

 

 

Meanwhile, Joan enjoys the sweet taste of victory, thrilled to win money for her favorite charity, God's Love We Deliver. GLWD is a hands-on charity, delivering daily meals to housebound sufferers of life-altering illness. They started out 16 years ago with two bicycles and four delivery men, and now they deliver over 2000 meals a day. Joan meets with Karen Pearl, President of GLWD to deliver food to housebound breast cancer patient Julia and her family. Joan has a surprise for Karen - the winnings from last week's cupcake challenge - and joyfully hands over a check for $125,716.39. Some of this money will help pay for Julia's recovery from her next surgery, so all she'll have to worry about is getting well.

 

The teams assemble in Grand Central Station to await Donald's arrival by limo, along with Donald Jr., Erin Burnett and a mysterious stranger. Mr. Trump introduces the team to Erin, who worked on his show "The Billionaire Inside," - which, Donald reminds Joan, was the number one rated show in the history of CNBC. The mysterious stranger is none other than Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com.

 

 

 

Started in 1999, Zappos.com is the go-to online source for shoes, handbags and apparel, and now enjoys over a $1 billion in sales. Tony explains that the Zappos brand is about the very best customer experience. They've partnered with Image Comics to provide each team with artists and editors for this week's task: creating a comic book character to represent Zappos, along with a four-panel comic and the character's costume. The teams will present their ideas to a focus group to get feedback, and Tony will pick the winner. The winning team will have their comic book character featured on Zappos's website.

 

Donald gets the ball rolling, telling the teams to pick their project managers - now. Since Khloe owns a clothing store, Team Athena quickly makes her project manager. Privately, Khloe admits that even though she owns a store, she doesn't know that much about online marketing. Team KOTU picks Scott, whom Clint thinks has the organizational skills they need. Recalling that many think of him as a "voice of reason" after last week, Scott steps up to the challenge. He's not going to survive by shying away from leadership. The stakes? The project manager of the winning team will earn $20,000 for their favorite charity.

 

Athena regroups for an executive meeting with Zappos's CEO Tony. Although most people know Zappos for their shoes, the Zappos brand is really about giving the very best customer service - above and beyond. While Brande sits back and listens to learn exactly what Tony wants, Annie uses her poker playing savvy, trying to extract specific information. When Melissa asks the hair color of Tony's best long term relationship, he advises the women to stop thinking about what appeals to him, and think about what's appealing to his customers.

 

 

Realizing that Tony is forgoing experts to have Team KOTU create a comic book character, Scott asks - why a comic book character? Tony explains that one of Zappos' core values is having fun. When Tom assumes it has to be fun, Tony restates - humor is not unacceptable. Tom starts to kick around some ideas about humor, something he knows more than a little bit about, but Scott quickly adjourns the meeting. With little to go on in terms of specifics, Tom looks worried.

 

 

In the board room, Team Athena gets to work with everyone talking at once. Although Khloe initially seems uncomfortable with telling people what to do, she does ask the women not talk over each other. Claudia remarks that things would go faster if everyone would shut up - too many alpha females. Joan throws the first pitch: how about a midget with the motto "long on service and short on frustration"? After several moments of sheer silence, Annie snarkily thanks Joan for her contribution.

 

 

After hours of going in chaotic circles, Annie puts her foot down. She wants to break into a design group and script group, and she wants to write the script with Claudia. Pleased that Annie is stepping up, Khloe gives her the go-ahead. Melissa points out that her mother is an Emmy-award winning writer who's had two TV series, four Broadway plays and a movie, but Annie's not interested. Privately, Joan calls Annie an idiot for not utilizing Team Athena's strengths.

 

 

Team KOTU's board room is equally chaotic, as everyone tosses around wild ideas. Tom suggests using one of their own for a superhero character - why not Clint? Clint doesn't like the idea, nor does Dennis, who suggests using a transforming transvestite as their superhero. Brian's uneasy - they need to make a decision and stick to it. Scott begins feeling frustrated, blaming Tom for sidetracking them. Meanwhile, Khloe is gaining confidence in her role as project manager. The women decide that at the very least they want their character to be a woman as the editor and artist arrive.

 

 

KOTU has nothing to present to their artist and editor, who have arrived to help mock up the presentation for the focus group, which will meet in a few hours. Jesse tries to present some ideas, but Clint keeps interrupting. When others try to interrupt Clint, he gets mad and yells over them. Precious minutes tick away as Scott fails to gain control of his team. Meanwhile, the girls are making headway. Claudia comes up with a story about a frustrated housewife and Joan dubs her "Mizz Z." Melissa adds the tag line, "It's not a dream, it's Zappos. Everyone claps and Khloe gives the go-ahead.

 

When Donald Jr. enters Athena's board room, Melissa takes credit for Claudia's story idea. Claudia's peeved, but realizes that fighting in front of the boss would be inappropriate and swallows the loss. Nevertheless, Claudia is chosen to pitch their idea to the focus group, made up of four seasoned comic book junkies. The guys never dreamed they'd be discussing comics with Playboy centerfold Brande, but manage to help out with some feedback.

 

 

By the time the focus group visits KOTU, they barely have their thoughts together, so Scott decides to just randomly shoot ideas by them. Dennis and Tom jump in with some ideas and Scott grows increasingly frustrated, blaming the group's lack of focus on Tom's need to perform. After Scott cuts the session short, Tom suggests they need to pick a character and start working on it, now. Jesse agrees. He has to go to Brooklyn to get the costume fabricated and they're running out of time. Herschel tries to get everyone to quiet down and repeatedly yells at Tom to shut up while asking him to pitch ideas.

 

As Team Athena gears up to design their costume, Melissa points out they'll have to fit it to the model who will wear it. Joan suggests Natalie as the perfect model. Natalie nervously agrees; this task is a lot different from anything she's used to in golfing. Joan, Tionne and Natalie proceed to Gepetto Studios where Scott is ready to go with a vinyl mini-skirt and platform stiletto lace-up boots. Everyone agrees that Natalie looks great, but she's very uncomfortable in her revealing costume.

 

 

Bedlam still reigns supreme at KOTU, but Tom seems to have hammered out something of a story line by the time Erin stops by. In quiet desperation, Jesse heads out with Julian and Dennis to get their costume manufactured, despite a critical lack of information. When Clint reminds that they still need a name from their character, Tom starts reading off names starting with the letter Z. Fed up, Scott tunes Tom out completely, as Tom begins sensing a lack of respect for his ideas. Out of time, Scott decides that their character's name will be "EEE," which stands for her power: everywhere, everything, every time. Dumbfounded, Tom struggles to understand Scott's choice, as Clint clamps down, loyal to his project manager. When Scott calls the name into Jesse at the costume shop, he can barely believe his ears. Did Scott say EEE?

It's after 1 A.M., and the women are still trying to write their presentation. Suddenly, Claudia becomes sick, complaining of a lump in her throat. Thinking to preserve her energy for tomorrow's presentation, Claudia asks if she can go home. Khloe gives the go-ahead, pissing off Annie, who can't believe that Claudia would bail. Over in KOTU's board room, Tom offers to write dialogue, but Clint rudely refuses his help, even if Tom has sold four film scripts. Tom tries to rally the others to change the name of their character, but no one's listening. Frustrated, ignored and without a task, Tom leaves, as Herschel wonders if he has ADD.

 

In the morning with three hours to go until the big presentation, Scott decides that he, Clint and Jesse will write it, while the others relax. Tom's offers of help fall on deaf ears. Dennis reminds them that someone with a little zing should give the presentation. Scott nominates Clint, who draws immediate criticism from Dennis and Jesse for his stubborn superstar ways. Down to the wire, Dennis nominates Tom, and in a surprising reversal, Scott agrees. When Tom wishes Scott would have let him touch up the script, Herschel accuses him of lying, making an already tense Tom even testier. Dennis offers Tom a sip of his coffee to take the edge off; afterwards they'll go out for a beer.

 

Meanwhile, Annie and Brande race through the streets of Manhattan to pick up a few last minute items. When Brande discovers she can't run fast enough in her high heels, she takes them off and runs barefoot, a risky sacrifice for the team. Everyone's a little nervous going into the presentation. Looking good but still sick, Claudia flubs some important marketing vocabulary in the presentation, and isn't too pleased with her performance. When Donald asks if Natalie would wear her costume to the U.S. Open, she confesses that she wouldn't wear it in the hallway.

 

 

Tom brings a lot of personality to KOTU's lively presentation of their character, EEE. Afterwards, Donald and Tony review. Tony is confused as to why Team KOTU chose to focus on the letter E, when Zappos clearly has the opportunity to own the letter Z. As for the women, Claudia stumbled during her presentation, going so far as to mispronounce the company's name. Still, each team did a very good job, and it will be difficult to pick the winner.

 

 

That night, the two teams gather in the board room to await their fate. Donald congratulates Khloe for surprising him with her stellar performance as project manager. But what happened between Scott and Tom? Scott admits that Tom derailed him every step of the way. When Tom maintains that he tried to remain positive and task-oriented even though Scott refused to listen to him, Scott laughs, proving Tom's point. Erin reminds that ultimately, the project manager is responsible for any team dysfunction.

 

 

Donald acknowledges out that Annie didn't really treat Joan with respect, but by the end of the show, Annie will surely be a great diplomat and Joan's best friend. When Donald asks who came up with Mizz Z, Melissa takes credit for the "skeleton idea," but Khloe corrects her - it was Claudia. Donald Jr. criticizes Natalie for her potentially offensive comment about the costume; very poor timing, considering she just presented to the client. Admitting that he once tried and failed to pick up Brande, Donald wonders why she didn't model the costume instead. Finally, Donald confronts Scott: why choose the name EEE? Scott defends his decision, but the room doesn't buy it.

 

Although Tony thought both teams presented excellent ideas, at the end of the day, he chooses the Team Athena, especially because they used the letter Z in their character's name. Khloe is thrilled to win $20,000 for her charity, The Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Awareness. The women retire to the war room to toast to their win, and watch Trump's showdown with KOTU.

 

 

 

Donald tries to get to the bottom of Scott and Tom's situation. What happened? Scott claims that Tom was distracted, selling himself more than the job. Tom respectfully disagrees. He was just trying to give options, and furthermore he knew the whole EEE thing didn't make sense. Herschel claims he would fire Tom, even though Tom thinks Herschel misunderstood everything. Brian admits he would fire whoever came up with EEE, but he was out at the costume shop when the decision came down - putting a Z on the costume instead of EEE! Jesse would fire Clint. Tom chimes in. At some point in the last 30 years, Clint made up his mind, and now all he wants to do is argue, which is anathema to team work. In the other room, Joan remarks that Clint is a snake, and Claudia agrees; something's not quite right.

Donald tells Scott to pick two people, then go outside to await their fate. Scott doesn't want to pick two, but he watched last year, so he's going to do exactly what Trump tells him. Scott picks Herschel as his second, even though he doesn't deserve it. When Donald asks the women to turn off their TV, Joan remarks that guys like Clint don't get people like Tom. In the lobby, Scott smiles confidently, looking forward to telling his side of the story.

 

 

Back inside the board room, Tom and Scott get serious, discussing their differences. It's not long before Donald sends Herschel out of the room, congratulating Scott for bringing him back as an advocate. Tom defends himself. Scott wasn't able to control the team, and Tom understands how to work with a group. He's tired of losing, and wants the opportunity to prove himself as the next project manager. Scott insists that despite the team's issues with his pal Clint, it was Tom who constantly derailed him.

 

 

Tom tries to point out that he and Scott are both survivors of testicular cancer, and they're both on the show to win money to cure cancer. In his defense, Scott claims he did the best he could under extreme circumstances. In the long run, he'll be more beneficial to the team than Tom. Still, Donald, Donald, Jr. and Erin agree, EEE was the big mistake, and it was too big to miss. Scott is fired, and Tom has his work cut out for him as next week's project manager.

 

 

Tom shakes hands with Scott, who asks him to tell the guys he's sorry for letting them down. Tom doesn't think Scott let them down at all - it's just one of those things. Scott takes the elevator to a waiting car, the first leg of a long journey back to Los Angeles. Although he's bitterly disappointed, he's a happy and positive person, with a great family that comes first and foremost. Now he can get back to his mission of working to cure cancer in his lifetime.

 

 

John 贏了上次的比賽，募得的獎金全部送給God's Love We Deliver. GLWD。一個很有愛心的組織。看完這段我則是熱淚盈眶。

這集的任務是替Zappos.com畫一個四格漫畫，並創造漫畫真實人物。勝負由Zappos.com的CEO，Tony Hsieh決定。

男方的 Leader 是 Scott，女方則是Khloe。男方的理由是 Scott很有組織概念，女方則是Khloe有實際銷售店舖的經驗。

接著跟CEO會面，感覺女方都是由Annie所主導，幾乎都是他在問問題，Annie真的很麻煩，不懂的收斂，更白目的是，他竟然要求John不要寫Precentation的台詞，真是白目到極點，John有3部劇本在百老匯上演，並多次提名艾美獎，Annie真是超級白目，就算他不知道 John的來頭，至少也尊重一下年長者吧，以後Annie一定是個大麻煩。

Clint Black也是個麻煩人物，他只准自己插別人話，不准別人插他話，看了就討厭。整個隊伍看起來只有Jesse James有能力而已。

Claudia Jordan 提出四格漫畫的主軸，但在Trump兒子進來問這是誰的idea時，Melissa Rivers竟然很不要臉的說是他自己的點子，看到就火大，難道這就是職場的人心險惡嗎?

男方的點子其實不錯，但可惜的是主角名子取錯，取成EEE。誰會喜歡這個名子阿，而且目的物是Zappos.com，當然主角名子要跟Z有關阿，看到這裡我心裡就有底男方會輸。果不其然，EEE就是他們輸掉這次比賽的最大原因。而當然堅持用EEE的Scott，被Fire 掉了。Scott根本就沒有那種嗅覺，只能說是個好的執行者而已。

其實整集的爭吵主要在於Scott跟Toney。我完全支持Tony，他很有活力，雖然他很會打斷別人的話，但Tony帶來的腦力激盪以及創意，是男生裡面最好的，只是Scott不會用人而已。我完全支持Tony。

Scott在選兩位進會議室的時候，另一位竟然選了Herschel。原因是他要一個支持他的人進會議室，這個點子超屌，我看完7季，從沒一個參賽者的選擇是如此的，說是創意媽，也是，說是策略嗎，也是，說是白目嗎，也是。這個點子極有創意，突顯出人心險惡，也突顯出他的白目，因為Herschel根本就不應該進會議室阿!!!

反正，Scott被淘汰了，他應得的。
